Biographies
All members of the Board are appointed by the Governor and serve until they are replaced or they resign. The Texas Constitution provides that appointees with expired terms continue to serve until they are reappointed or replaced.
David H. Yu, D.D.S., M.S. – Presiding Officer
David H. Yu, D.D.S., M.S. of Austin is a board-certified periodontist and owner of Dr. Yu and Associates. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Texas Dental Association, and the Capital Area Dental Society. He served on the boards of the Southwest Society of Periodontists and Texas Society of Periodontists. He also served on the anesthesia committees for the American Academy of Periodontology and Texas Society of Periodontists. He was appointed to the Blue Ribbon Panel for Anesthesia/Sedation Safety by the TSBDE. He was an adjunct faculty and course director of Periodontology at Austin Community College Hygiene School and remains on its advisory board. He is a Western Regional Examining Board (WREB) floor and grading examiner and a member of the Comprehensive Treatment Planning (CTP) exam committee. He is on the advisory board for the Pharmacy Association’s Professional Recovery Network (PRN). Dr. Yu received a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Indiana University, a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Indiana University School of Dentistry, General Practice/Hospital Residency and specialty of Periodontology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

Bryan Henderson, II, D.D.S. – Board Secretary
Bryan Henderson, II, D.D.S. of Dallas is a dentist anesthesiologist and a clinical assistant professor at the Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, American Academy of Pain Management, and the Dallas County Dental Society. Additionally, he is a member and past president of American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists, board member of Woodhill Medical Park, and board member and treasurer for the Orange Tree Association. Henderson received a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin, Doctor of Dental Surgery from Texas A&M School of Dentistry, and a certificate in anesthesia from the Medical College of Pennsylvania.

Linda Treviño Burke, D.D.S.
Linda Treviño Burke, D.D.S. of Harlingen is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and owner of Burke Children’s Dentistry. Dr. Burke is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Rio Grande Valley District Dental Society, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Additionally, she received her fellowship from the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry in 2017. She is the president of Platinum Surgery Center in addition to serving on the board for Valley Baptist Medical Center and the Harlingen Economic Development Corporation. She has served as chairperson for both the Harlingen Chamber of Commerce and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Rio Grande Valley. Dr. Burke received her Bachelor of Science in biology from St. Mary’s University, a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston followed by her pediatric dentistry residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

Ricky Garcia
Ricky Garcia of Pasadena is a retired IT Service and Project Manager for Shell Oil Company. He is a member of the Lions Club in Pasadena and the Knights of Columbus Club. Additionally, he is a former member of the Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity. Garcia attended the University of Houston.

Lorie Jones, R.D.H., M.B.A.
Lorie Jones, R.D.H., M.B.A. of Magnolia is a licensed dental hygienist at Dr. Gayle Bradshaws and CEO of DA Prep which focuses on dental assistant training for the high-school student. She is the former Director of Dental Services at TOMAGWA HealthCare Ministries Inc. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association and is a past president and member of both the Texas Dental Hygienists Association and the Greater Houston Dental Hygienists Association. Additionally, she is president of the University of Texas Dental Hygiene Alumni Association, and a member of the Texas Oral Health Coalition. Jones received a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from The University of Texas at Houston Dental Branch and a Masters in Business Administration with a focus on Small Business and Entrepreneurship from Louisiana State University Shreveport.

Sarah Lamb
Sarah Lamb of Dallas is a vice president of Brokerage at The Retail Connection and former registered dental assistant in the State of California. She is a member of the Leadership Cohort for the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) for Public Policy and is second vice president of the Board of Directors for Bryan’s House and chairs its Development Committee. She is a member of The Real Estate Council (TREC), where she serves on its Public Policy Committee and PAC Board of Directors as the PAC treasurer. Additionally, she is a part of TREC’s 2022 Associate Leadership Council alumni. Since 2019, she has served the City of Dallas as an appointee to the Zoning Board of Adjustment. Lamb received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from San Francisco State University.

Yvonne E. Maldonado, D.D.S.
Yvonne E. Maldonado, D.D.S. of El Paso is a general dentist and managing partner of The Dental Ark, PLLC. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, El Paso District Dental Society and an Associate member of the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. In addition, she currently serves on the American Dental Association’s Council on Dental Benefit Programs and is one of the ADA’s representatives to the Dental Quality Alliance. Maldonado received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. Mary’s University and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Texas Health Science Center – Houston.

Robert G. McNeill, D.D.S., M.D., M.B.A.
Robert G. McNeill, D.D.S., M.D. of Dallas is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in private practice. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Texas Dental Association, the Dallas County Dental Society and former president of the American Student Dental Association. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a former member of the Blue Ribbon Panel on Dental Anesthesia/Sedation Safety and was a staff dentist with the Texas dental board. Dr. McNeill received a Bachelor of Science with honors in biology and psychology from McMaster University, a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and his Medical degree from Case Western Reserve University. He obtained his MBA in healthcare management and leadership from the University of Texas at Dallas and is a former Senior Executive Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School.

Margo Y. Melchor, R.D.H., MEd., Ed.D.
Margo Y. Melchor, MEd., Ed.D. of Houston is a licensed dental hygienist and the director of community outreach and professor at UTHealth The University of Texas at Houston School of Dentistry . She is a board member of the Hispanic Dental Association Foundation and San Jose Clinic; along with being a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association. Additionally, she is a past president and an active member of the Hispanic Dental Association. Melchor received a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene from The University of Texas at Houston Health Science Center at Houston Dental Branch and a Doctor of Education in professional leadership from The University of Houston.

Brady Morehead, D.D.S.
Brady Morehead, D.D.S. of San Antonio is the clinical director at Dental Health Associates of Texas and has served as a general dentist for the United States Army since 2001. After four years of active duty service, he was honorably discharged in 1992 and has remained a member of the United States Army Reserves. He holds the rank of Colonel and is currently the Army Reserve Director for Regional Health Command East. He is a master and former chapter president of the San Antonio Academy of General Dentistry. Morehead received a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from the University of South Florida and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Additionally, he has received a certification in parenteral sedation from the University of Southern California.

Lois M. Palermo, R.D.H., B.S.
Lois Palermo, R.D.H., B.S. of League City is a licensed dental hygienist at Drs. Castille & Castille. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association, Texas Dental Hygienist Association, and the Bay Area Dental Hygienist Association. Palermo received an Associate in Applied Science in dental hygiene from Del Mar College and a Bachelor of Science in technology, occupational technology and industrial studies from the University of Houston.
