Biographies

All members of the Board are appointed by the Governor and serve until they are replaced or they resign.  The Texas Constitution provides that appointees with expired terms continue to serve until they are reappointed or replaced.

Bryan Henderson II, D.D.S. – Presiding Officer

Bryan Henderson II, D.D.S. of Dallas is a dentist anesthesiologist and a clinical assistant professor at the Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, American Academy of Pain Management, and the Dallas County Dental Society. Additionally, he is a member and past president of American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists, board member of Woodhill Medical Park, and board member and treasurer for the Orange Tree Association. Henderson received a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin, Doctor of Dental Surgery from Texas A&M School of Dentistry, and a certificate in anesthesia from the Medical College of Pennsylvania.

Lorie Jones, R.D.H., M.B.A. – Board Secretary

Lorie Jones, R.D.H., M.B.A. of Magnolia is a licensed dental hygienist at Dr. Gayle Bradshaws and CEO of DA Prep which focuses on dental assistant training for the high-school student. She is the former Director of Dental Services at TOMAGWA HealthCare Ministries Inc. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association and is a past president and member of both the Texas Dental Hygienists Association and the Greater Houston Dental Hygienists Association. Additionally, she is president of the University of Texas Dental Hygiene Alumni Association, and a member of the Texas Oral Health Coalition. Jones received a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from The University of Texas at Houston Dental Branch and a Masters in Business Administration with a focus on Small Business and Entrepreneurship from Louisiana State University Shreveport.

Janessa Bock, R.D.H. 

Janessa Bock, R.D.H. of Sugar Land, is a graduate of Amarillo College. She is a clinical hygienist with 18 years of experience and a managing partner of Oral Health Consultants. She is a past president of both the Texas Dental Hygienists’ Association (TDHA) and the Greater Houston Dental Hygienists’ Association. She has served on the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) Policy and Bylaws Committee, and is a provider member of the Texas HPV Coalition.

Linda Treviño Burke, D.D.S. 

Linda Treviño Burke, D.D.S. of Harlingen is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and owner of Burke Children’s Dentistry.  Dr. Burke is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Rio Grande Valley District Dental Society, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.  Additionally, she received her fellowship from the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry in 2017.  She is the president of Platinum Surgery Center in addition to serving on the board for Valley Baptist Medical Center and the Harlingen Economic Development Corporation.  She has served as chairperson for both the Harlingen Chamber of Commerce and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Rio Grande Valley.  Dr. Burke received her Bachelor of Science in biology from St. Mary’s University, a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston followed by her pediatric dentistry residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

Ricky Garcia

Ricky Garcia of Pasadena is a retired IT Service and Project Manager for Shell Oil Company. He is a member of the Lions Club in Pasadena and the Knights of Columbus Club. Additionally, he is a former member of the Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity. Garcia attended the University of Houston.

Sarah Lamb

Sarah Lamb of Dallas is a vice president of Brokerage at The Retail Connection and former registered dental assistant in the State of California. She is a member of the Leadership Cohort for the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) for Public Policy and is second vice president of the Board of Directors for Bryan’s House and chairs its Development Committee. She is a member of The Real Estate Council (TREC), where she serves on its Public Policy Committee and PAC Board of Directors as the PAC treasurer. Additionally, she is a part of TREC’s 2022 Associate Leadership Council alumni. Since 2019, she has served the City of Dallas as an appointee to the Zoning Board of Adjustment. Lamb received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from San Francisco State University.

Yvonne E. Maldonado, D.D.S.

Dr. Yvonne Maldonado is a general dentist proudly serving her hometown of El Paso, Texas. Born and raised in El Paso, Dr. Maldonado is deeply committed to providing compassionate, high-quality dental care to her community. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Dr. Maldonado is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the El Paso District Dental Society, and she is an Associate Member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Through her professional affiliations and dedication to continuing education, Dr. Maldonado strives to stay at the forefront of advancements in dentistry and patient care. When not in practice, she remains actively involved in her community and is passionate about promoting oral health awareness and education across El Paso.

Lisa B. Masters, D.D.S., M.S.

Lisa B. Masters, D.D.S., M.S. of San Antonio is a board-certified periodontist at the
Masters Dental Group and part-time faculty at UT Health San Antonio School of
Dentistry in the Department of Periodontics. She teaches in the Graduate Periodontics
Clinic. She is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Texas Dental
Association, American Dental Association and the San Antonio District Dental Society.
She has served on the boards of Southwest Society of Periodontics and Texas Society
of Periodontics. Dr. Masters has chaired the Anesthesia Advisory Committee and
served on the Texas Radiation Advisory Board. Dr. Masters earned her BS from Texas
A&M University, her D.D.S. and M.S. degrees from The University of Texas Health Science
Center at San Antonio.

Robert G. McNeill, D.D.S., M.D., M.B.A.

Robert G. McNeill, D.D.S., M.D., M.B.A. is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in private practice in Dallas and a J.D. candidate at Northeastern University School of Law. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.Dr. McNeill previously served on the Blue Ribbon Panel on Dental Anesthesia and Sedation Safety and worked as a staff dentist with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. He received a Bachelor of Science with honors in biology and psychology from McMaster University, a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, and a Medical Degree from Case Western Reserve University. He earned his MBA in healthcare management and leadership from the University of Texas at Dallas and completed the Senior Executive Fellowship at the Harvard Kennedy School.

Margo Y. Melchor, R.D.H., MEd., Ed.D.

Margo Y. Melchor, MEd., Ed.D. of Houston is a licensed dental hygienist and the director of community outreach and professor at UTHealth The University of Texas at Houston School of Dentistry . She is a board member of the Hispanic Dental Association Foundation and San Jose Clinic; along with being a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association. Additionally, she is a past president and an active member of the Hispanic Dental Association. Melchor received a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene from The University of Texas at Houston Health Science Center at Houston Dental Branch and a Doctor of Education in professional leadership from The University of Houston.

Brady Morehead, D.D.S.

Brady Morehead, D.D.S. of San Antonio is the clinical director at Dental Health Associates of Texas and has served as a general dentist for the United States Army since 2001. After four years of active duty service, he was honorably discharged in 1992 and has remained a member of the United States Army Reserves. He holds the rank of Colonel and is currently the Army Reserve Director for Regional Health Command East. He is a master and former chapter president of the San Antonio Academy of General Dentistry. Morehead received a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from the University of South Florida and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Additionally, he has received a certification in parenteral sedation from the University of Southern California.
