Renewal Requirements

Your Texas dental Lab registration is valid until December 31, of this year.  If you do not pay your renewal fee by the expiration date listed the registration will expire and/or possibly cancel. A dental lab registration may be renewed within 60 days of its expiration date.  

Renewing Online

If you have already created an account, Log on to your account, from the “Quick Start Menu” under “It’s Time to Renew” click on “Select” next to your Dental Lab license number and proceed through the online renewal application. After submitting your application, a copy of your application summary and online payment receipt will be emailed to you. Note: License expiration dates are updated on the TSBDE website the next business day and can be verified in the Licensee Search.

If you searched your license and notice it was not updated the next business day, you may have one or more of the following deficiencies:

  • Texas Jurisprudence Dental Laboratory completion date. This must be completed every three (3) years by the lab owner or manager using the name of the dental lab, 
  • Valid email address,
  • Certified Dental Technician (CDT) of Record is missing, and/or
  • Proof of 12 Continuing Education (CE) hours completed by a board approved provider have not been submitted.


In order to create an online account you will need the following; 

  1. Active email account
  2. Name of the Dental Lab
  3. License number of the Dental Lab
  4. The zip code on file with TSBDE

As of September 1, 2024 paper applications will no longer be accepted. If you have never renewed online before you must select the link “Add Licenses to Registration.”
